Procrastination…
I’m such a slacker. I put off starting this blog for so long that I’ve already left New York without having time to write about any of the restaurants, but since that was the whole reason my friends were bugging me to start blogging it, I figured I should just go back and see if I can summarize the last couple years, foodwise. Of course, anyone who knows me knows, I’m biased against quite a few things, particularly the wave of expensive trendy restaurants, particularly Asian-fusion, especially fusion-trendiness for the sake of being trendy and not for the sake of making food even more delicious than traditional means and methods. To me, good food is the staple of a good restaurant, and decor and service can only increase my enjoyment for the delicious food. Decor and service without good food to me is, especially in New York City, an extremely expensive waste of my time and money. It’s really a pity that so many restaurants in NYC fall into that category, but nevertheless, there is a lot of yummy food out there. There are plenty of restaurant reviews or summaries out there, so I’m not going to explain in any great depth what kind of food is there and what is available on the menu, only my own opinions and impressions.
